Chipotle Unveils a Vegan Tofu ‘Sofrita’ in Boston & NYC

As I continue my journey to being a full-time Vegan (it’s a process, I still love meat and fish so much), I was excited to see another option emerge in the fast food scene: The Chipotle Sofrita.

Made with GMO-free tofu by the Oakland-based Hodo Soy Beanery – it will make its official debut at Chipotle locations in New York and Boston on March 3, 2014.

Chipotle describes the Sofrita option as “organic tofu … that we shred and then braise with chipotle chilis, roasted poblanos, and a blend of aromatic spices.”

Haven’t tried it yet but super excited for this new option!
